LyftOxi never charges for sharing/taking ride. Ride fare is decided by owner and final payment as per mutual agreement between both parties. LyftOxi is not involved in any decision related to fare.
The Motor Vehicles Act 1988 does not specifically disallow ride sharing or lift giving or carpooling.
The Act regulates Contract Carriages and Public Service Vehicles which carry passengers for ‘hire and reward’. The definition of Contract Carriages and Public Service Vehicles excludes ‘a private car which is only used occasionally for the giving of lifts against some payment’. Such private car providing occasional lifts against a payment which sets off the cost of a trip is not a vehicle in which passengers are carried for ‘hire or reward’.
LyftOxi is a network to communicate between car owner and passengers. Any payment related to trip cost is absolutely between car owner and rider.

Yes, LyftOxi gives you full flexibility to offer lift in any vehicle you are using for the trip.
You can book full cab and do not need to mention the number of people traveling in the cab. So, technically, you can get your friends/family/acquaintances along with you in the cab as long as you comply with rules related to maximum permissible passengers in a vehicle.
The cab owner/cab driver has no technical or legal ground to restrict you from offering lift to your friends/family/acquaintance. You are offering to share cost of travel with one more person who you know through common connections and you have chosen to travel along with that person.

Yes, you can but it’s advisable to inform your co-passengers as a responsible person. You can inform LyftOxi support as well and we will inform others.
No, if your route, price and other constraints are unchanged then you can make your share recursive and post. LyftOxi will display your ride detail for all 7 days.

Yes. Our route matching algorithm would generate the best available match and show you the profile of person asking for lift. It would be up to you to accept or reject the person’s request for lift. If you do not wish to travel with that particular person, we would immediately show you profile of next available Lift Taker.
We expect Lift Taker to make the payment after the completion of trip. This will be decided as per mutual discussion with both parties. However, in worse cases LyftOxi support will involve to solve situations.
You can post anytime but it is advisable to post atleast 2 hours before your scheduled ride.
